Banke / A 62-year-old man from Banke who died due to corona was cremated on Tuesday.
A 62-year-old man of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan Ward No. 5, who died of corona infection while undergoing treatment, was cremated at the cemetery on Tuesday, according to the Muslim community.
A team led by Banke Chief District Officer Ram Bahadur Kurungwang was present at the cemetery in Nepalgunj on Tuesday afternoon.
The deceased men are herbalists. Mohammad Yakub Ansari, president of the cemetery, president of the Herbal Practitioners’ Association, and Hon’ble MP member of State-5, paid tribute to the team including Chif of Banke district Kurumwang, Chief Fighter Nahkul Thapa and Chief of Nepal Police.
According to Naresh Shrestha, Corona Focal Person of health office Banke, the deceased was reported to have tested positive for Corona at 3 pm on Monday.
The 62-year-old man had contracted pneumonia in both his lungs. He was sent for corona test on the 32nd.
At the same time, the number of deaths from corona in Banke has reached four. Earlier, a 25-year-old youth in Narainapur Municipality-5, a 46-year-old woman in Baijnath Rural Municipality-6 and a 70-year-old woman in Kohalpur Municipality-2 had died from corona.
