Nepalganj : Uma Thapa Magar, deputy mayor of Nepalgunj sub-metropolis, has been confirmed to be infected with the corona virus.
Deputy Mayor Thapa Magar said that she was diagnosed with corona infection in a laboratory test conducted at Bheri Hospital on Tuesday.
“I had been suffering from cold and sore throat for 20-25 days. I checked twice in between and the result was negative,” she said.
Deputy Mayor Thapa Magar said that she is currently living in isolation following the standards of health security. She urged those who have come in contact with her for the past few days to stay at home safely and get her corona checked if any signs are seen.
Deputy Mayor Thapa Magar has been working in Banke since the beginning in the management of the citizens entering Nepal from India as well as in the prevention and control of Corona.
