Nepalgunj/Banke police have arrested three persons on the same day along with a large quantity of drugs including brown sugar and cannabis. According to the District Police Office, Banke, Om Prakash Singh, 22, of Parasanpurwa, Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolis-13 and Ajay Kaulik, 25, of Kewalpur, Bahraich Police Station, Rupadia were arrested with 20 grams of brown sugar.
A team from the Bureau of Narcotics Control and Banke of DPO took 13 farmers from Ittabhatta in Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolis at 3:30 pm on Monday. Twenty bags (20 grams) of drugs and brown sugar were recovered from the arrested persons in a plastic bag. Both the arrested have been kept in Banke of DPO for further investigation.
Earlier, Banke police arrested a man with 3 kg and 500 grams of cannabis yesterday (Sunday). Sunday at 11 pm Duduwa Rural municipality ward no. 4 Ramjan Ali Bagwan was arrested with 3 kg and 500 grams of cannabis. A 38-years-old gardener of Duduwa Rural Municipality-4 has been arrested by the police team deployed from the District Police Office, Banke on the basis of confidential information. Police recovered 3 kg and 500 gm of cannabis in three plastic packets from Bagwan, said Banke of DPO.
Police said that illegal tobacco was also seized from Nepalgunj on Sunday night. According to Banke of DPO, five persons including 72 packets of Super Power Tobacco and 85 packets of Bidi have been arrested from 21 Gandrinala of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolis. According to the District Police Office, Banke, further investigation has been started into the seized illegal materials and the arrested persons.
