Nepalgunj : A corona-infected pregnant women has died while undergoing treatment at Nepalgunj Medical College in Kohalpur, Banke. A 29-year-old woman resident of Mahendranagar-1 in Kanchanpur died at 4:30 this morning.
She gave birth to a son and a daughter. She had given birth to twins at Seti Hospital in Dhangadhi, Kailali. She had been bleeding since she was pregnant and had been bleeding profusely since delivery. She was then given 8 packs of whole blood and 4 packets of platelet blood along with her uterine surgery.
Also, the woman’s swab was tested positive for corona infection and the report was positive on September 30. After the corona infection was confirmed, she was referred to Nepalgunj Teaching Hospital in Kohalpur for treatment. A press note issued by the hospital states that she was admitted to Kohalpur at 4 pm on September 3 and died this morning while undergoing treatment according to the nature of the disease.
At the same time, the number of deaths due to corona infection in Banke district has reached 21.
