Nepalganj : Govinda Prasad Upadhyaya has been elected as the chairman of Bansgadhi Municipal Animal Husbandry Coordination Committee of Bardiya. The third convention held on Tuesday selected an 11-member committee headed by Upadhyaya. Gangaram VC has been elected as the vice-chairman and Jharan Kumar Malla as the secretary.
Similarly, Nilkantha Adhikari, Raju Dhakal, Jivay Bhandari and Rishi Ram Chapagain have been selected as the members of the committee, said newly elected chairman Upadhyaya. According to him, the treasurer and three other members will be selected by the committee later.
The convention held at Shahid Smriti Bhawan was hosted by Tul Prasad Gautam, Coordinator of Social Development Committee of Bansgadhi Municipality. Also present on the occasion were Central Farmers Federation member Khadka Bahadur Khadka, Chief of Animal Husbandry Office Prem Kumar Mandal, Shanti Ram Poudel and Indrajit Budha Kshetri. The convention was concluded under the chairmanship of Savitri Poudel.
