Nepalgunj: Lamp-lighting programs have been held at various places in Banke district on the occasion of naming the capital of Province No. 5, Deukhuri valley and Lumbini Province.
The lamps have been lit in Banke after the Lumbini province and the Deukhuri region of the Rapti Valley were established as the capital. Such programs have been held in various villages of Banke district.
Some have done it in an organized manner while others have done it even individually. The program was organized by the NCP-Kohalpur Municipal Committee and Baijnath Rural Committee of Banke.
Constituent Assembly member Ashok Roka led the lamp lighting program in Kohalpur while another CA member Dal Bahadur Sunar led the program in Baijnath.
