Nepalganj: Corona Special Room has come into operation at Bheri Hospital in Nepalgunj. Minister for Social Development of five states Sudarshan Baral inaugurated the 72-bed Corona Special Hospital on Thursday.
Support was sought from all quarters to run the Corona Special Hospital at Bheri Hospital. A special 72-bed hospital with ICU facility has come into operation with the help of the same appeal.
Even though it has been made 72 beds at present, it is planned to be converted into 100 beds, said Ram Bahadur Kurumwang, coordinator of Kovid-19 Crisis Management Center and Chief District Officer of Banke.
It was decided to set up a Corona Special Hospital at Bheri Hospital after lack of beds and problems of sustainable management at the Corona Special Hospital at Shushil Intensive Care Cancer Hospital in Khajura, Banke. Following the same decision, a fund raising campaign was also launched under the leadership of the Chief District Officer. Shortly after the campaign was launched, the Corona Special Hospital came into operation with the support of the state government and various organizations here. Only patients with corona symptoms will be admitted to the Corona Special Hospital.
