Nepalgunj ! The first meeting of Nepal Children’s Organization District Working Committee Banke has been concluded.
The Central Office of the Nepal Children’s Organization under the Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens had nominated the presidents of the children’s organizations in all 77 districts of the country on September 15. The first meeting was held in Banke today under the chairmanship of Datta Prasad Acharya.
District Coordinating Committee Coordinator Ajay Kumar Srivastava, Assistant Chief District Officer of the District Administration Office Dirgharaj Upadhyay, Mayor of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolis Dr. Dhawal Samsher Rana. The first meeting was held in the presence of Education Development Unit Chief Ram Suresh Yadav, Spokesperson of the District Police Office and Information Officer Deputy Superintendent of Police Subash Khadka and NCP-Banke Secretary Ashok Koirala.
All those present at the meeting expressed their commitment to provide necessary support and initiative for the protection of the rights, interests and welfare of children.
The newly-appointed president Acharya said that the rights and interests of the children would be promoted by keeping in view the coordination, support and suggestions of all the stakeholders.
The children’s organization has its own building and land in Banke. Earlier, there was an 11-member working committee in the district but that committee was inactive. Currently, there is only a committee nominated by the Central Office of the Nepal Children’s Organization in the district.
At present, the center has nominated only the chairman and the chairman has given the right to nominate two other members as per the constitution, said the newly-appointed chairman Acharya. He said that two members would be nominated soon and the new committee would be completed as per the constitution.
